Starhill Global Real Estate Investment ( (SG:P40U) ) just unveiled an update.

Starhill Global REIT has secured a six-year unsecured sustainability-linked term loan of A$70 million for its Australian special purpose trust and a six-year unsecured sustainability-linked revolving credit facility of S$70 million. The term loan will refinance existing Australian borrowings and support general corporate needs, while the revolving facility, available from October 2026, is earmarked to fully refinance S$70 million of unsecured medium-term notes maturing that month.

The manager said the refinancing exercises are not expected to materially affect the REIT’s gearing, supporting balance-sheet stability while extending debt maturities. However, lenders will have the right to demand repayment of all outstanding amounts if there is a change of control at the manager or if YTL Corporation Berhad’s indirect stake in the manager falls below 51%, a covenant that could affect about S$1.38 billion of facilities should such an event occur.
