Star Royalties Ltd., through Green Star Royalties, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring a series of gross revenue royalties on forest carbon offset projects in the southeastern U.S., signaling its first foray into carbon offset-issuing investments. These royalties, purchased from NativState LLC, are part of a $5.6 million deal expected to yield premium voluntary carbon offsets over a 20-year term, with a significant portion delivered in the first five years. The move diversifies Green Star’s nature-based carbon offset solutions in North America and introduces defensive measures to ensure minimum carbon offset volumes.
