The latest update is out from Standard Chartered ( (GB:STAN) ).
Standard Chartered has updated the composition of its board of directors with effect from 10 February 2026, confirming Maria da Conceicao das Neves Calha Ramos as non-executive chair and Bill Winters as group chief executive and sole executive director. The bank also detailed the allocation of its independent non-executive directors across five key board committees, signalling continuity in governance while clarifying oversight responsibilities in audit, risk, culture and sustainability, remuneration and nomination functions for investors and regulators.
The reshaped committee structure assigns chair roles to selected independent directors, including Philip Rivett on the audit committee, Jacqueline Hunt on the board risk committee, Linda Yueh on the culture and sustainability committee, and Maria Ramos on the governance and nomination committee. This refreshed mapping of board and committee responsibilities is designed to reinforce independent oversight, align board governance with regulatory expectations in its core markets, and provide clearer accountability across the bank’s risk and sustainability agenda.
