Standard Chartered PLC announced the purchase of 1,116,741 of its ordinary shares as part of a share buy-back program. The shares were acquired at a volume-weighted average price of 1,266.2633 GB pence and will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares in issue to 2,410,831,613. This move is part of the company’s strategy to manage its capital structure and enhance shareholder value.
