The latest update is out from Standard Chartered ( (GB:STAN) ).

Standard Chartered PLC announced the purchase of 523,120 of its own ordinary shares as part of a share buy-back program. The shares were acquired at a volume-weighted average price of 1,415.74 pence per share, with the intention to cancel them, reducing the total number of shares in issue to 2,301,341,745. This move is part of a strategic effort to optimize the company’s capital structure and enhance shareholder value.
