Standard Chartered PLC announced the repurchase of 519,780 of its ordinary shares as part of its ongoing share buy-back program. The shares were bought at prices ranging from 1,410.00 to 1,436.00 pence, with an average price of 1,421.81 pence. The company plans to cancel these shares, reducing the total number of shares in issue to 2,300,821,965, which will also be the total number of voting rights. This move is part of Standard Chartered’s strategy to manage its capital structure and return value to shareholders.
