The latest announcement is out from SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust ( (SPY) ).
PDR Services LLC announced that the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust will be renamed State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, effective January 26, 2026, with its trading name changing to SS SPDR S&P500 USD and its short name to SS SPDR SNP USD. The trust deed was amended on December 19, 2025, to reflect the new name and make editorial updates, but the ETF’s investment objective, focus and approach remain unchanged, and unitholdings are unaffected; an updated prospectus reflecting the new branding will be registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore around the effective date, signaling a branding alignment rather than a shift in strategy for investors.
