Sparton Resources ( (TSE:SRI) ) has provided an update.
Sparton Resources reported progress at affiliate VRB Energy Inc., which, through its Chinese joint venture Beijing Puneng, is advancing vanadium redox flow battery projects in key energy storage markets. The involvement of a Chinese partner has improved access to state-influenced domestic utilities and supported the creation of VRB USA to pursue opportunities outside Asia.
VRB China highlighted several new commercial deployments, including an integrated solar-storage-charging system at Ivanhoe Electric’s Santa Cruz copper mine in Arizona designed to cut carbon emissions and stabilize power in harsh off-grid conditions. Additional projects include a 50MW/200MWh grid-scale installation in Hubei, a hybrid lithium–vanadium system at a Jiangsu cement plant, a modular factory-level storage project at a Zhejiang glass plant, and a multi-energy campus microgrid in Xinjiang, underscoring growing commercial traction for long-duration vanadium flow storage.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:SRI) stock is a Hold with a C$0.03 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Sparton Resources stock, see the TSE:SRI Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on TSE:SRI Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:SRI is a Neutral.
The score is held down primarily by persistent losses and ongoing negative operating/free cash flow, including a worsening cash burn in 2024. Technicals are mixed with negative momentum, while the balance sheet’s moderate leverage is the main stabilizing factor. Valuation metrics are also weak due to the negative P/E and lack of dividend yield data.
