Sparton Resources announced that the US Department of Energy endorses flow batteries as the most economical and efficient option for large-scale energy storage. With a 9.975% stake in VRB Energy Inc., Sparton highlights the safety and cost-effectiveness of flow batteries, which are now as low as $0.06/kWh, nearing the DOE’s target of $0.05/kWh.
