The latest announcement is out from Astron Limited ( (AU:ATR) ).

S&P Dow Jones Indices has announced the March 2026 quarterly rebalance of the S&P/ASX indices, with changes taking effect before trading on March 23. The reshuffle spans the S&P/ASX 20, 50, 100, 200 and 300, reflecting shifts in market capitalisation and liquidity across key Australian and cross-listed stocks.

Northern Star Resources will join the blue-chip S&P/ASX 20, replacing Santos and signalling the rising prominence of gold producers. The S&P/ASX 50 adds Light & Wonder and PLS Group while dropping Seek and Technology One, and the S&P/ASX 100 brings in Greatland Resources, Regis Resources and Westgold Resources at the expense of Lendlease, Netwealth and Pinnacle Investment Management.

Further down the market-cap spectrum, the S&P/ASX 200 will add Predictive Discovery, SRG Global and Vulcan Energy Resources while removing Catapult Sports, DigiCo Infrastructure REIT and EBOS Group. The S&P/ASX 300 will see a broad expansion of smaller and emerging names across resources, rare earths, lithium, healthcare technology and services, including 4DMedical, Arafura Rare Earths, DPM Metals, Dateline Resources, Elsight, Elevra Lithium, GemLife Communities Group, L1 Group, Macmahon Holdings, Meeka Metals, Minerals 260 and Metals X, changes that are likely to influence index-tracking fund allocations and trading volumes in these stocks.
