Peninsula Energy ( (AU:PEN) ) has issued an update.
S&P Dow Jones Indices has announced the March 2026 quarterly rebalance of its S&P/ASX indices, with changes effective prior to the market open on March 23. The reshuffle adjusts membership across the S&P/ASX 20, 50, 100, 200 and 300, reflecting shifts in market capitalisation and liquidity among Australian-listed companies.
Northern Star Resources will enter the S&P/ASX 20, replacing Santos, signalling a rising profile for the gold miner among the market’s largest stocks. The S&P/ASX 50 will add Light & Wonder Inc. and PLS Group Limited while removing Seek and Technology One, indicating evolving sector representation.
In the S&P/ASX 100, Greatland Resources, Regis Resources and Westgold Resources join as Lendlease, Netwealth Group and Pinnacle Investment Management exit. The S&P/ASX 200 will add Predictive Discovery, SRG Global and Vulcan Energy Resources, while Catapult Sports, DigiCo Infrastructure REIT and EBOS Group are removed.
At the broader market level, the S&P/ASX 300 sees multiple additions including 4DMedical, Arafura Rare Earths, DPM Metals, Dateline Resources, Elsight, Elevra Lithium, GemLife Communities, L1 Group, Macmahon Holdings, Meeka Metals, Minerals 260 and Metals X. These changes are likely to drive index-tracking fund rebalancing, affect liquidity in affected stocks and subtly reshape sector weightings within the Australian equity benchmarks.
