Sovereign Metals Triumphs in Kasiya Mining Trial

Sovereign Metals Limited (AU:SVM) has released an update.

Sovereign Metals Limited has successfully completed a dry mining trial at the Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project in Malawi, utilizing standard mobile excavators and trucks without the need for drilling or blasting. The test pit excavation, key to the company’s Pilot Mining and Land Rehabilitation Program, demonstrated the potential for a simple, cost-effective mining operation with a lower environmental impact due to the ore’s free-dig nature. The company now anticipates further trials, including hydraulic mining and soil rehabilitation, as part of its ongoing Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) Optimisation Study.
