Sovereign Metals Initiates Hydraulic Mining Trial

Sovereign Metals Limited (AU:SVM) has released an update.

Sovereign Metals Limited has launched a hydraulic mining trial at the Kasiya site in Malawi, aiming to enhance the site’s Optimisation Study and expecting completion in three months. The trial, spearheaded by industry expert Fraser Alexander, follows a successful dry mining phase and will include comprehensive testwork for backfilling, deposition, and rehabilitation. Concurrently, Rio Tinto has bolstered its investment in Sovereign, raising its stake to 19.9% with a recent purchase of additional shares.
