Southside Bancshares (SBSI) has provided an announcement.
Tim Alexander, the Chief Lending Officer of Southside Bancshares, Inc. and Southside Bank, will retire on May 31, 2024, after nearly two decades of service. He will be succeeded by Curtis Burchard, a seasoned banking executive with over 40 years of experience in the industry, effective April 15, 2024. Burchard, who joined Southside Bank in 2023, has a robust background in commercial banking and real estate, having held significant positions at Texas Capital Bank and Compass Bank / BBVA. The transition is pending approval at the upcoming Board meetings.
