South Star Secures Future with Santa Cruz Mine

South Star Battery Metals (TSE:STS) has released an update.

South Star Battery Metals Corp. has completed the land purchase for its Phase 1 Plant at the Santa Cruz Graphite Mine in Brazil, with construction on track for completion in June 2024 and commercial sales expected to start in September 2024. The company has secured the definitive mining licenses for Phases 1, 2, and 3, enabling a future increase in production capacity up to 50,000 tonnes per year. This development not only de-risks future expansion but also positions South Star as a significant player in the graphite market, with the first new production in the Americas since 1996.
