South Star Battery Metals Corp. has successfully completed commissioning of their Santa Cruz Phase 1 Graphite Mine in Bahia, Brazil, marking the start of commercial production. The first batch of natural flake graphite concentrate is set for shipment by the end of October, with the mine having a commendable safety record of 678 days without a loss-time accident. Additionally, the company is underway with optimizations to potentially increase the plant’s processing capacity.
