South Star Battery Metals Corp (TSE:STS) has released an update.
South Star Battery Metals Corp. announces its maiden sale of natural flake graphite from the Santa Cruz Graphite Mine in Brazil, with the first shipment of 100 tonnes set for Q3 2024 to an unnamed prominent American industrial client. The company’s Santa Cruz graphite has also been qualified for use in green-energy applications by another major US graphite company, signaling strong market interest. With the Phase-1 Plant of the Santa Cruz mine set to start commercial production in August 2024, South Star is poised to become the first new graphite mine in the Americas in nearly three decades.
