SolarBank to Power Nova Scotia with Community Solar

Solarbank Corp. (TSE:SUNN) has released an update.

SolarBank Corporation is set to electrify Nova Scotia with a new initiative to develop 31 MW of community solar projects, expected to power over 4,000 homes with renewable energy. Partnering with TriMac Engineering, the projects are part of a broader Community Solar Program aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels and providing solar energy access to residents facing obstacles like inadequate roof space or excessive shade. While construction is planned to start in 2025, the projects’ fruition depends on government approvals and financing, with a spring 2026 operational goal.
