SolarBank Inks Major Loan for Landmark Solar Project

Solarbank Corp. (TSE:SUNN) has released an update.

SolarBank Corporation has secured a $2.6 million loan from Seminole Financial Services to fund the construction of their largest project yet, the 3.79 MW Geddes Project in Upstate New York, which aims to repurpose a former landfill into a community solar power source for over 500 homes. Seminole, having invested over $2.5 billion in renewable energy projects, will also convert the loan to a mini-perm upon project completion. The Geddes community solar project will allow homeowners and renters to enjoy reduced electric bills by subscribing to solar power without installing panels on their own properties.
