Snow Lake Highlights Ubaryon’s Technology and Regulatory Milestones in Nuclear Fuel Cycle

On December 19, 2025, Snow Lake said that portfolio company Ubaryon is advancing its proprietary uranium enrichment technology and related isotope separation innovations, supported by a recent investment from global enrichment player Urenco and independent reviews confirming the technology has reached Technology Readiness Level 4. Ubaryon, in which Snow Lake has an indirect and growing interest through its stake in Global Uranium and Enrichment Limited, has expanded its technical team, reported promising results from chlorine isotope separation work for potential use in molten salt reactors, developed a patent-pending sorbent powder for recovering uranium from waste solutions, and secured key Australian regulatory clearances, including a Foreign Investment Review Board “no objection” for Urenco’s investment and in-principle Defence Export Control approval for future commercial dealings, reinforcing the technology’s commercialization pathway and regulatory credibility within the nuclear fuel market.
