Smurfit Westrock ( (SW) ) has issued an update.
Smurfit Westrock plans to delist its ordinary shares from the London Stock Exchange, leaving the New York Stock Exchange as its sole listing venue. The board concluded that lower trading activity in London, alongside the additional costs and regulatory burdens of a dual listing, made the LSE exit the most beneficial option for the company.
The company has begun the formal process with UK regulators and expects the delisting to take effect on 22 June 2026, with the last day of LSE trading set for 19 June 2026. Smurfit Westrock has published detailed FAQs and set up a shareholder helpline to guide investors through the transition, highlighting efforts to manage the shift’s operational and administrative impact on stakeholders.
