Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) has announced the successful passage of all proposed resolutions at its Annual General Meeting on June 28, 2024. Additionally, the company reported the retirement of Professor Lau Lawrence Juen-Yee from his role as an independent non-executive Director and from various board committees. The shareholders’ turnout at the meeting represented over 34% of total voting rights, with a notable presence of both RMB and Hong Kong Shares holders.
