SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings has emerged as a successful bidder in the auction of radio spectrum, securing frequency blocks in the 850 MHz and 6/7 GHz bands. This acquisition, valued at HK$361.5 million, is set to enhance SmarTone’s public mobile services, including 5G. The company can pay the Spectrum Utilization Fee in a lump sum or through annual installments over 15 years.
