Skanska AB ( ($SE:SKA.B) ) has shared an update.
Skanska has secured a USD 75 million contract from an existing client to build a 22,700 square-metre data center in Georgia, USA, with the value to be recorded in its U.S. order bookings for the first quarter of 2026. The project, which began construction in March 2026 and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028, includes site work, underground utilities, five data halls and administrative space, reinforcing Skanska’s position in the growing North American data center construction market.
The new contract underlines Skanska’s ability to capture repeat business in technologically intensive building segments, supporting revenue visibility in its key U.S. market. By expanding its portfolio of advanced data center projects, the company deepens its role in critical digital infrastructure, which may strengthen its competitive standing and long-term relationships with large-scale clients seeking sustainable, high-spec facilities.
