Skanska has secured a USD 165 million (about SEK 1.5 billion) contract from The Texas A&M University System to build a new Biology Teaching & Research facility in College Station, Texas, reinforcing its presence in the U.S. higher-education construction market. The 17,200-square-meter project, which will replace outdated biology buildings with state-of-the-art labs, active-learning classrooms and collaboration spaces, is slated to start in spring 2027 and complete in spring 2029, adding to Skanska’s U.S. order bookings for the first quarter of 2026 and supporting its focus on complex, research-driven campus projects.
