Skanska AB ( ($SE:SKA.B) ) has shared an update.
Skanska has secured a NOK 661 million (about SEK 600 million) contract from Gjerdrum municipality in Norway to build Oppvekstjordet, a comprehensive education and sports complex. The project will be recorded in Skanska’s Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2026, underlining continued demand for its social infrastructure expertise in the region.
The development will replace the existing local school and kindergarten with new facilities including a kindergarten, primary school, sports hall, football pitches and other community amenities, while allowing for future expansion. Designed to achieve a BREEAM-NOR “Very Good” rating and cut the municipality’s energy use for education and sports buildings by 40 percent, the project showcases Skanska’s sustainability capabilities ahead of its scheduled completion in 2028.
