Skanska has secured a SEK 380 million contract with Skellefteå Municipality to build the Karlgårdsbron bridge over the Skellefte River in Sweden. This project, which will be Sweden’s longest wooden bridge, aims to connect various districts of the city and accommodate multiple types of traffic, including cars, buses, pedestrians, and cyclists. Construction is set to begin immediately, with completion expected by November 2027, enhancing Skanska’s position in sustainable infrastructure development.
