Skanska is investing CZK 917 million, about SEK 400 million, in the final phase of its Albatros Kbely residential development in Prague, a move that underlines its strategy of combining large-scale urban projects with sustainable design. The company is positioning itself as a key player in Central European housing by delivering low-energy homes and extensive community amenities in a rapidly developing district of the Czech capital.
The last phase will add 178 low-energy apartments to the scheme, bringing the total to around 688 units spread over five stages and completing a new urban district with more than 15,000 square meters of green space. The project, designed in line with BREEAM standards, will include a supermarket, kindergarten and varied recreation areas, with construction of the final phase starting in March 2026 and completion targeted for early 2028, reinforcing Skanska’s focus on long-term sustainable residential communities.
