SIIC Environment Holdings ( (SG:BHK) ) has issued an update.

SIIC Environment Holdings’ subsidiary Longjiang Environmental Protection Group has agreed to acquire 100% equity interests in Anshan-based Qingchang Water Services and Qinglang Water Services from Qingdao Qing’an Technology Investment for RMB 270 million. The deal will make both water service operators wholly owned subsidiaries, with their results consolidated into the group’s financial statements.

The consideration was determined using income-based valuations prepared by an independent appraisal firm, applying a weighted average cost of capital model to the target companies’ equity. Directors view the pricing as fair and commercially reasonable, signaling a strategic move to strengthen the group’s water services footprint and potentially enhance earnings through greater scale in China’s municipal water sector.
