Shell (UK) ( (GB:SHEL) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Shell issued an updated outlook for the first quarter of 2026, highlighting operational and financial expectations across its main business segments amid heightened uncertainty from the Middle East conflict. Integrated Gas production is projected to soften due to Qatari volume disruptions, partly offset by the ramp-up of LNG Canada, while group working capital is expected to be heavily affected by extreme commodity price volatility.

Upstream volumes are seen slightly lower following the incorporation of the Adura joint venture, but refining margins are set to improve to about $17 per barrel with higher refinery and chemicals utilisation. Marketing adjusted earnings are expected to be significantly above the prior year, and Trading & Optimisation performance should be in line or significantly higher in most segments, though group non-cash net debt will rise as variable components of long-term shipping leases increase in the current macro environment.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:SHEL) stock is a Buy with a £4004.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Shell (UK) stock, see the GB:SHEL Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on SHEL Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, SHEL is a Outperform.

The score is driven primarily by solid underlying financial performance and supportive earnings-call guidance on cost reduction, capital discipline, and shareholder returns. Technicals are strong but look overheated, and while valuation is reasonable with a ~3% yield, weaker recent free-cash-flow momentum and operational risks (Chemicals, safety, and reserve-life decline) cap the upside.
