Seraphim Space Investment Trust Plc ( (GB:SSIT) ) has issued an announcement.

Seraphim Space Investment Trust has published a circular and called a 6 May general meeting to seek shareholder approval for issuing up to 350 million C shares and adopting revised articles of association. The specialist SpaceTech investor says it is well positioned after building a 24-strong, high‑growth portfolio, delivering strong multi‑year returns and benefiting from powerful sector tailwinds driven by defence, security and climate-related demand.

The proposed C share structure is designed to raise fresh capital without diluting existing ordinary shareholders, by managing C share proceeds in a separate pool and converting them periodically into ordinary shares at quarterly NAVs. The Board argues this approach will minimise cash drag, protect NAV, and allow SSIT to quickly deploy new funds into its pipeline of accelerator graduates, existing portfolio leaders and new SpaceTech opportunities when market conditions permit.

Spark’s Take on SSIT Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, SSIT is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held back by weak financial quality—persistent negative operating cash flow and volatile, valuation-driven results—despite a conservatively positioned, debt-free balance sheet. Technicals are supportive with a strong uptrend and positive momentum, but indicators show the stock is becoming stretched. Valuation impact is limited due to missing P/E and dividend yield data.
