Sembcorp Industries (SG:U96) has released an update.
Sembcorp Industries is expanding its renewable energy footprint by partnering with PT PLN Nusantara Renewables to develop Indonesia’s first utility-scale solar and energy storage project. This joint venture will create a 50MW solar farm with a 14MWh battery storage system, set to produce 93GWh of clean energy annually for Nusantara and East Kalimantan. The initiative, supported by a 25-year power purchase agreement, is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions by an amount equivalent to removing 20,000 cars from the roads each year.
