Sembcorp Boosts Energy Supply with Indonesian Gas Deal

Sembcorp Industries (SG:U96) has released an update.

Sembcorp Industries has secured a deal to import natural gas from Indonesia’s Mako gas fields, bolstering Singapore’s energy supply from 2026 for an estimated duration of 11 years. This agreement, which is expected to start in the first half of 2025, will extend Sembcorp’s gas supply stability past 2028. The deal is set to proceed following necessary approvals and decisions from the gas field stakeholders, and it will not significantly affect Sembcorp’s financial performance in 2024.
