SECOS Group Ltd challenges the draft Victorian Household Waste and Recycling Service Standard, which excludes certified compostable caddy bin liners from the new four-stream waste system, claiming this move contradicts environmental goals and undermines efforts to reduce landfill waste. The company highlights that the ban could lead to increased use of conventional plastics, higher contamination in soils, and a disincentive for households to separate food waste.
