Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (SCEE) has secured a landmark $160 million contract to execute the Balance of Plant works for the Collie Battery Energy Storage System in Western Australia, a key component of the state’s decarbonisation strategy. Targeted for completion in late 2025, this project represents the largest initial contract award in SCEE’s history and will significantly contribute to Australia’s net zero emissions goal by 2050. The announcement has also resulted in the lifting of the trading halt on SCEE Group’s shares.
