On August 22, 2025, Thomas McMillen resigned from the Board of Directors of ScanTech AI Systems Inc., effective immediately, without any disputes or disagreements with the company. Following his resignation, Michael McGarrity was appointed as the new chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Bradley Buswell was appointed to the Audit Committee to fill the vacancy.
