The latest announcement is out from Santana Minerals Ltd. ( (AU:SMI) ).
Santana Minerals has reported strong step-out drilling assays at its Rise and Shine and Come-in-Time deposits, extending known gold mineralisation northwards and down-plunge over kilometre-scale distances. The latest results at RAS, including 12 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne gold from 815 metres in hole MDD494, confirm continuity of the silicified breccia host and support an exploration target that sits well beyond the current underground mine design.
At CIT, hole MDD495 intersected the first occurrence of the same silicified breccia unit about 750 metres down-plunge from surface, returning 13.9 metres at 1.1 grams per tonne gold and indicating the emergence of a RAS-style system. Management says the intercepts suggest RAS may form part of a broader gold camp with significant growth potential beyond the existing 14-year mine life, with further aggressive down-plunge drilling planned to test multi-kilometre extensions that could enhance the project’s scale and underground mining optionality.
