An announcement from Sampo Plc ( (GB:0HAG) ) is now available.
Sampo’s board and audit committee have submitted proposals to the 22 April 2026 AGM to reappoint Deloitte Oy as statutory auditor and assurer of sustainability reporting until the 2027 AGM, with fees to be paid according to approved invoices. The move maintains continuity in audit and ESG assurance, as Deloitte has served in these roles for Sampo and its group companies for several years, reflecting an emphasis on consistent oversight and regulatory compliance.
The board is also seeking authorization to repurchase up to 250 million A shares, equal to about 9.42% of the A-share capital, for cancellation using distributable equity. The proposed buyback, which may be executed through general or directed purchases at market-based prices over a period of up to 18 months, would reduce the number of outstanding shares and could support capital management efficiency and shareholder value if approved by the AGM.
