Sala Corporation ( (JP:2734) ) just unveiled an announcement.

SALA Corporation reported that in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending November 30, 2026, it booked ¥313 million in non-operating income as a gain on valuation of derivatives tied to forward exchange contracts. These contracts hedge foreign exchange risk on imported biomass fuel purchases for its SALA e POWER subsidiary, whose electricity sales prices are locked in under Japan’s feed-in tariff scheme, leaving costs exposed to currency and commodity volatility.

The company explained that derivative valuation gains and losses arise from fair value assessments of unsettled forward exchange contracts and involve no cash movements, with annual valuation entries reversed in subsequent periods so the cumulative impact through 2039 is expected to net to zero. Reflecting this accounting nature, SALA said its basic dividend policy targets maintaining at least the prior year’s dividend and aims for a consolidated payout ratio of 40% or higher when excluding the effects of derivative valuation gains and losses on forward exchange contracts.

The most recent analyst rating on (JP:2734) stock is a Hold with a Yen1080.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Sala Corporation stock, see the JP:2734 Stock Forecast page.
