Sakata Seed Navigates Post-Flood Recovery in Brazil

Sakata Seed Corporation (JP:1377) has released an update.

Sakata Seed Corporation has reported that the recent floods in Brazil have caused significant damage to its subsidiary Isla’s office and warehouse, but inventory damage was less than expected. The company estimates a loss of approximately 700 million yen due to the disaster and anticipates a decline in Isla’s sales by 1.2 billion yen for the current fiscal year. Despite the challenges, Isla has resumed sales activities and expects a full product range to be available for sale within a year.
