The latest update is out from Rural Funds Group ( (AU:RFF) ).
Rural Funds Management has issued an estimate of the March 31, 2026 quarter distribution components for Rural Funds Trust, confirming the trust’s status as a withholding and Attribution Managed Investment Trust for the 2026 financial year. The total cash distribution is 2.9325 cents per unit, unfranked at a 30% corporate tax rate, with 2.1119 cents per unit subject to withholding tax and 0.8206 cents per unit classified as tax deferred and not subject to withholding.
The notice details that 2.1036 cents per unit of the payment is treated as fund payments, including both concessional and non‑concessional MIT income from agricultural land acquired after March 2018, which attracts a 30% withholding rate for foreign investors. RFM also notes that under the AMIT regime, situations where attributed income exceeds the cash distribution may allow unitholders to increase their tax cost base for capital gains tax purposes, a point relevant for tax planning but not to be used as a substitute for formal tax reporting.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:RFF) stock is a Hold with a A$2.10 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Rural Funds Group stock, see the AU:RFF Stock Forecast page.
