Rockhopper Exploration plc has successfully received the first tranche of €19 million from the monetisation of their Ombrina Mare Arbitration Award, strengthening their cash balance to approximately $27 million. The payment comes after fulfilling all conditions stated in the litigation funding agreement with the Original Arbitration Funder, who has received the remaining €26 million of the tranche. With this development, Rockhopper awaits further outcomes related to their legal case against Italy.
