Road King Infrastructure has announced a planned rotation of its external auditor, with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu set to retire at the conclusion of the 22 May 2026 annual general meeting after serving as the company’s auditor since 1996. The move follows a comprehensive evaluation driven by the group’s cost-control focus and the desire to change auditor after a long tenure, with no disagreements reported between the company and Deloitte.
The board, on the recommendation of its audit committee, will propose the appointment of Crowe (HK) CPA Limited as the new auditor, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM and completion of Crowe’s client acceptance procedures. The audit committee cited Crowe’s fees, industry knowledge of Hong Kong-listed companies, resources, independence, service proposals, market reputation and regulatory guidelines in assessing it as suitable, while also acknowledging Deloitte’s prior going-concern disclaimer for the 2025 financial year but confirming no further issues needing shareholder attention.
A circular detailing the proposed auditor change and the AGM notice will be sent to shareholders in due course, providing further information on the transition and formalizing the approval process. The board has expressed its gratitude to Deloitte for its professional service over the past three decades, framing the change as being in the best interests of the company and its shareholders as a whole.
