Riverstone Energy ( (GB:RSE) ) has issued an update.
Riverstone Energy Limited will return £30 million to shareholders via a second compulsory partial redemption on 27 April 2026, cancelling up to 2,512,562 ordinary shares, or about 34% of its current issued share capital. The redemption price is set at £11.94 per share, based on the 31 December 2025 NAV, and will be funded from existing cash balances, with proceeds paid in sterling within around 14 business days.
Following the transaction, the company expects to retain about $21 million in cash and equivalents, a level the board deems sufficient to cover running costs and support the remaining portfolio during the rest of the wind-down. The redemption will also trigger a change of ISIN for the remaining shares, with the old ISIN expiring on the redemption date and a new ISIN becoming active on 28 April 2026, while further redemptions are anticipated as additional investments are sold and cash needs become clearer.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:RSE) stock is a Hold with a £730.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Riverstone Energy stock, see the GB:RSE Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on RSE Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, RSE is a Neutral.
The score is primarily held back by weak and volatile financial performance (inconsistent profitability, mixed cash-flow quality, and a much smaller equity base). Technicals are neutral with soft momentum, while valuation is mixed (moderate yield but negative P/E). Corporate events modestly support the score due to tangible asset realisations and accelerated capital returns during the managed wind-down.
