Restaurant Brands International ( (QSR) ) just unveiled an update.
Restaurant Brands International used its 2026 Investor Day to reaffirm its long-term growth algorithm, targeting more than 8% organic adjusted operating income growth and at least 5% net restaurant growth by 2028. Management underscored a shift toward a 99% franchised, simpler structure, including plans to sunset its Restaurant Holdings segment by 2027 and reduce annual capital expenditures and cash inducements to roughly $300 million from 2028.
The company plans to return over $1.6 billion to shareholders in 2026 through dividends and a renewed share repurchase program, with $500 million of excess free cash flow earmarked for buybacks that year. RBI also set a goal of achieving corporate investment-grade leverage by 2028, while outlining a path to roughly 1,800 net new restaurants annually by that time, driven largely by expansion at Firehouse Subs, Tim Hortons and Popeyes in the U.S. and Canada, reinforcing its growth and capital-allocation ambitions for investors and franchisees.
The most recent analyst rating on (QSR) stock is a Buy with a $72.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Restaurant Brands International stock, see the QSR Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on QSR Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, QSR is a Neutral.
The score is driven mainly by solid revenue scale and strong free-cash-flow generation, but is held back by high leverage and weaker recent profitability. Near-term technicals are bearish and valuation looks elevated on P/E despite an attractive dividend yield. Management’s 2026 guidance for continued ~8% organic AOI growth provides support, though commodity and brand-execution headwinds remain notable.
