OM Holdings Ltd. ( (AU:OMH) ) has shared an announcement.
S&P Dow Jones Indices has announced the March 2026 quarterly rebalance of its S&P/ASX equity benchmarks, with changes taking effect before trading opens on 23 March. The reshuffle spans the S&P/ASX 20, 50, 100, 200 and 300 indices, reflecting shifts in market capitalisation and liquidity among Australian-listed companies.
Key moves include Northern Star Resources replacing Santos in the S&P/ASX 20, while Light & Wonder and PLS Group join the S&P/ASX 50, displacing Seek and Technology One. Gold and resources stocks gain prominence in the S&P/ASX 100 and 200, with additions such as Greatland Resources, Regis Resources, Westgold Resources and Vulcan Energy, while financial and infrastructure names like Lendlease, Netwealth, Pinnacle Investment Management and EBOS are removed.
The S&P/ASX 300 sees a broad expansion of smaller and mid-cap names across mining, rare earths, lithium, technology and engineering, including new entrants such as 4DMedical, Arafura Rare Earths, DPM Metals and Macmahon Holdings. These index changes are likely to drive portfolio rebalancing by index-tracking funds and could affect trading volumes and valuations for both added and removed constituents.
