RENOVA ( (JP:9519) ) has issued an announcement.
Renova has disclosed that its Karumai West Solar Power Plant, owned through subsidiary Karumai West Solar G.K., halted operations on April 22, 2026 after an anomaly near the grid interconnection point revealed a defect in power receiving and transforming equipment. Repairs are scheduled with a planned restart in July 2026, and while the outage will temporarily weigh on revenue, management expects profit insurance to offset the loss, limiting the impact on earnings.
The company said the suspension has already been factored into its fiscal 2027 guidance, which projects year-on-year growth in revenue, EBITDA, and operating profit compared with the year ended March 2026, indicating that the incident is not expected to derail its broader financial trajectory. Renova plans to provide further disclosures if additional material developments arise, aiming to reassure investors and other stakeholders about the contained operational and financial risk from the plant’s temporary shutdown.
