Renaissance,Incorporated ( (JP:2378) ) has shared an announcement.
Renaissance reported growth in its core sports club business for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, with registered members rising 1.7% to 442,085 and higher membership prices following October revisions. In its nursing care and medical peripheral segment, the company made Kaede no Kaze a subsidiary, lifting the number of nursing care rehabilitation facilities to 87 and supporting revenue expansion.
Management also moved to restructure operations by closing six unprofitable sports clubs, mainly in central Tokyo, and booking impairment losses on 38 facilities where investment recovery is unlikely. At the same time, Renaissance replaced its earlier medium-term plan with a new 2026–2030 roadmap that prioritizes financial recovery and balance sheet strengthening through FY 2027, followed by a strategic reform of its business portfolio from FY 2028 to FY 2030.
