REC Silicon ASA ( (RNWEF) ) has issued an update.
REC Silicon ASA has launched a fully underwritten rights issue of 4,078,000,000 new shares at NOK 0.2385 per share, aiming to raise gross proceeds of NOK 972.6 million. Existing shareholders as of mid-March receive tradable subscription rights on Euronext Oslo Børs, with each right allowing the purchase of one new share during a subscription period running from 20 March to 7 April 2026, after which unused rights lapse and non-participating investors face dilution.
The capital raise is guaranteed in full by Anchor AS, REC Silicon’s largest shareholder, which earns its underwriting fee in new shares and backstops any shortfall in demand. The new shares are expected to be registered and start trading around 14 April 2026, strengthening the company’s balance sheet and potentially reinforcing its position in the solar and semiconductor value chain, while concentrating ownership further with the main shareholder if take-up is low.
