Ravindra Energy’s Unit Starts India’s Largest Heavy EV Battery-Swapping Hub at JNPT

Ravindra Energy Ltd. ( (IN:RELTD) ) has shared an update.

Ravindra Energy said its associate Energy in Motion has started commercial operations at what it calls India’s largest battery swapping and charging station for heavy vehicles, located at the Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal in Jawaharlal Nehru Port. The automated 3 MW facility can handle more than 160 heavy electric vehicles a day, and over 130 EIM-Foton trucks at the port are already using the service.

The project, developed with terminal operator NSFT, is positioned as a key step in building a clean logistics ecosystem and underscores EIM’s ambitions in EV infrastructure. Management highlighted that the collaboration aims to support the port’s transition to a fully electric vehicle fleet by the end of FY 2026-27, signalling deeper integration of EV solutions in India’s port and logistics sector.
